JioTV OS Launched by Reliance with Advanced Hello Jio AI Voice Assistant

Jio AI Voice Assistant: At its 47th annual general meeting, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) introduced a new software called JioTV OS. This is a completely homegrown operating system designed for Jio set-top boxes. It promises a faster, smoother, and more personalized user experience on big TV screens.

JioTV OS supports video streaming in up to 4K resolution and includes Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for top-notch picture and sound quality, similar to a cinema.

The OS supports major OTT platforms, live TV streaming, and TV shows in one service. It also integrates Hello Jio, a voice assistant that now uses generative AI for better natural language understanding, allowing users to find content and control the set-top box with voice commands.

JioTV OS includes its own Jio AppStore, which has apps for shopping with augmented reality, fitness, and education. It can also control smart home devices like ACs, lights, and security cameras through the updated JioHome app.

Reliance also updated JioTV+, which provides access to over 800 HD TV channels and supports OTT platforms like Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar. It allows users to combine OTT and live TV content with a single login and will soon enable pausing live TV to resume later.

Additionally, Reliance introduced JioPhoneCall AI, which records, transcribes, summarizes, and translates calls on JioCloud. To use this, add JioPhoneCall AI to the call (1800-73267). This feature works on both Android and iOS devices without needing an app. JioCloud can also store photos, documents, and videos.
